At the age of six I knew exactly what I wanted to be when I grow up. Not a pilot, a policeman or a firefighter. I wanted to be a writer. Thirty years later, after writing intensively since I was six, I became an author of fantasy.\r\n
My first novel was “The council of Seven”. I won the Elf Fantasy Award for the ‘best fantasy of the year 2003’.\r\n
\r\n
I started a short story magazine (Pure Fantasy<\/strong>), launched my own publishing firm (Books of Fantasy<\/strong>) and published not only eight of my own books (all in Dutch), but also a lot of books written by other\r\n upcoming Dutch authors. It brought a lot of joy, but no wealth. In fact, when I decided to end the publishing firms in 2012 and 2014 I was in debt. Yeah, shit happens!\r\n
\r\n
I picked up my freelance copywriting career again and left The Netherlands in March 2024 to live in Bulgaria with my lovely wife Elise. Here, in the middle of nowhere, we found a place that gave us the perfect freedom, nature, the\r\n quiet, birds singing, our own lifestock, veggie garden, and so on… and… I took up writing again.\r\n

And finished a fantasy saga; four books in a row, ready to meet the public.\r\n
